Inbound Marketing

Inbound marketing (also called incoming marketing) was created in opposition to traditional marketing, which primarily uses intrusive forms of advertising. The inbound marketing strategy is based on taking actions that enable recipients to independently find the sender of the advertising message.

Inbound marketing aims to build brand awareness and create a long-term relationship with customers based on two-way communication and engagement. Inbound marketing moves away from fighting for the attention of the largest possible number of people and concentrates on creating specific and useful content to attract a more precisely defined target group of customers, building a lasting relationship with them, and as a result, increasing sales.

It should be noted, however, that according to the inbound marketing concept presented by HubSpot, the customer should also be taken care of after their conversion, until they start recommending a given product or service to others.

The most important pillars of an inbound marketing strategy

  1. Content marketing - creating content for your own blog and guest posts, which is an excellent form of building brand awareness. It is currently difficult to talk about inbound marketing that does not use text content creation.
  2. Video - citing a 2017 study by HubSpot, video is one of the most frequently chosen marketing tactics. If you are planning inbound marketing activities, don't forget about creating content in video format. It can be a dedicated YouTube channel or videos you distribute on social media.
  3. SEO - when creating content, you need to remember about proper content optimization to enable it to appear for keywords of interest to you in search results.
  4. PPC - all paid forms of advertising, e.g., Google Ads. Google Ads will allow you to relatively easily appear at the top of search results for keywords of interest to you.
  5. Social media - build profiles on social media, create thematic groups, and be active where your customers are. Social media is an excellent place to distribute the content you prepare.
