SaaS
SaaS (software as a service) means software as a service. In this model, users do not need to download and install applications on their computers, as they are provided via the Internet. SaaS applications are entirely stored and executed on the service providers' devices, so the entire responsibility for the proper functioning of the service lies on their side.
Advantages of using applications in the SaaS model:
- uncomplicated, fast implementation,
- ease of use,
- regular and fixed fees enable cost prediction,
- payment only for used features,
- software is continuously updated by the service provider,
- hassle-free access to the application from any place and device (only Internet access is required),
- since the data is in the cloud, the user does not need to worry about data loss in case of device failure
Examples of services provided in the SaaS model:
- CRM and ERP systems,
- analytical systems,
- email applications,
- accounting systems,
- document management and editing applications
